Notes
Daily sickness allowance (EKT)
This tariff is only available to GIZ or CIM employees and does not apply for spouses or children. The Daily sickness benefit insurance is designed to ensure continued payment of wages in the event of prolonged illness (from 43 days). Long-term nursing care insurance (PVN)
The policy can only be taken out for GIZ employees abroad (main insured) who are liable to German statutory insurance during their stay abroad.
If you do not have a SEPA account or are experiencing problems with the online application, you can contact us via e-mail with the following subject line: “Request for international health insurance under the GIZ group contract”.

Information on Reimbursement
Reimbursement for outpatient / dental treatments:
Medical bills are initially paid by yourself. You can then submit the bill to Hallesche Krankenversicherung together with the reimbursement form. For data protection reasons, please do not send any invoices to DR-WALTER.
Reimbursement for inpatient hospital stays:
If high hospital bills have to be paid, e.g. in the event of a hospital stay, please inform Hallesche Krankenversicherung by calling the emergency number +49 (0)711 6603 3930, who will send the hospital a statement of reimbursement.
Please always use the completed Hallesche Krankenversicherung reimbursement form to submit your invoice.
